James Galloway was the oldest son of William (b.11-13-1763 d.10-30-1846) and Sarah Essary Galloway(b 1765 d. 1846). In 1810 he purchased land in the Gloucester section of Transylvania County and build a log house that is still standing. One son Milos (ca 1843-ca 1863) died in the Civil War); burial unknown at this time.
