Son of Jacob Brown Autry and Eliza Haynes. Green was a Blacksmith.

Green Berry Autry (Green B. or G. B. Autry )married 23 DEC 1835 in Walton County to Caroline Malcom who died on 10-26-1861, daughter of George W. Malcom and Susannah Allen who was a wealthy planter and Primitive Baptist Preacher.Green and Caroline had 12 children. He m. 2nd on 9-2-1866, at the age of 55, Sarah "Sally" Evans, a 16 year old female from Clarke Co., GA. Green and Sarah had 7 children.

On 7-19-1864 the 52 year old Green Autry was called into the Militia as a Private in the Home Guard, Captain Taylors Company. He had financial problems and lost his land and moved to Athens, GA where he died and was buried in an unmarked grave in the East Cemetery in Eastville, GA. To date the burial location of his 1st wife Caroline is unknown. There is also no record of what happened to his 2nd wife Sally.
