John William Lubben, eldest son of Brother and Sister Lubben of Iron Hill, Iowa was born in Denver, Colorado December 21, 1873 and died at Cedar Rapids, Iowa April 16, 1894.
Willie had never made a profession of religion until a few days before his death. His mother reached him the day before he passed away and said he gave evidence of being saved. Thus, their hearts were comforted in the midst of their great affliction.
The body was brought back to Maquoketa for burial and services were held in the F. M. Church of that place, conducted by the writer, who used the text 1 Samuel20:3. (C. W. Carners)
Obituary from unknown newspaper and typed in by Carol Strayer (1st Cousin 2 times removed of John). Please feel free to copy this information but please retain this message with it. Thank you.
