He was born in Hopkins County on Sept. 29, 1953, to John W. Hoffman Jr. and Joy Hoffman of St. Charles.
He was an electrician for Glass-Pac and a member of the Methodist faith.
Besides his parents, he is survived by one son, J.R. Hoffman of St. Charles; one daughter, Heather Hoffman of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Larry Hoffman of Clay, Ky., and Kevin Hoffman of St. Charles; two sisters, Tonda Rodgers of Hanson, Ky., and Brenda Hoffman of Charleston, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs.
