Geneva met John Lybyer in Spokane and they married in 1944. John was inducted into the United States Army and was stationed at Camp Roberts, California. Geneva lived in Hollywood with her sister until John was sent overseas. She returned to Libby after John was discharged.
They bought 40 acres of land south of Libby, which they ranched. Geneva loved horses and finally got her first horse after clearing land and fencing their property. They joined the Libby Saddle Club and Geneva served as secretary treasurer for seven years.
John retired from Champion International after 35 years. They bought a Honda Gold Wing, a fishing boat and a motor home. They enjoyed their retirement traveling around, until John passed away in 2003. Geneva still lived on the property and played pool for 6 years.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Berg, Ada Flatt, Alda Dudley, and her brothers Harold Snyder, Dan Snyder and Franklin Snyder.
