Margery Edith Koch passed away November 18, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society in Syracuse at the age of 91.

She was born to Edith (Swerdfeger) and Arthur Wenninghoff on December 30, 1924 in Omaha. The family moved to Syracuse in 1938 and she graduated from Syracuse High School in 1943.

She was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary since 1974 and on the board of West View Manor Senior Citizen Housing for many years.

In addition to being a homemaker, she worked for Dr. Williams, and in the housekeeping dept. at CMH for many years.

Margery took much pride in her duties on the altar guild at Luther Memorial and enjoyed being a volunteer at the Syracuse Senior Center.

She married Calvin Schutz in 1945 and together they raised Bonnie, Pat, and Dan. Later they divorced.

She and Orville Koch were married in 1967 and he passed away in 1985.

Survivors include daughters: Bonnie (Stan) Boldt of Otoe, Pat (Dale) Alber of Lincoln, daughter-in- law Janet Erisman of Syracuse, sister Helen Eis of Unadilla, brother Ron (Mary Ann) Wenninghoff of Unadilla, and sister-in-law Violet Whitaker of Missouri. Eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and three great, great, grandchildren. Orville's children, Ken (Karen) Koch, Cliff (Pat) Koch, and Stan (Cherie) Koch.

Preceded in death by spouse, parents, son Daniel Schutz, brother Arthur Wenninghoff, brother-in-law Richard Eis and Richard Koch.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 22nd, at 10:30 at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse with burial at the Park Hill cemetery in Syracuse.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 20th from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Monday, November 21st from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM all at the Funeral Home.
