He was born Nov. 11, 1937, in Virginia, to Carlyle and Fern (Gunderson) and had been a longtime Virginia resident. Gary was baptized and confirmed in Our Saviors Lutheran Church. He retired after 47 years of service as a plaster and cement mason. He was a member of Local 633. He loved gardening and tending flowers, cooking, the History Channel, watching westerns, listening to music, and his cats.
He is survived by two daughters: Leslie (Brad) Perrett, and Gayle Anderson; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild, Keaton; his mother, Fern Nesbitt; one sister, Bonnie Devescovi; three brothers: Burton (Diana) Anderson, Sheldon Anderson, and Arthur Nesbitt; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father in 1990; and stepfather, Arthur H. "Bud" Nesbitt in 1979.
