Bertha Hopkin Blonquist passed away on November 9, 2016 at the age of ninety-nine and six months.

She was born in Coalville, where she attended school and grew up.

She married L. Ross Blonquist, who also grew up in Coalville. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Green River, Wyoming and later moved to Salt Lake City, where they raised their family. They had four children: Tom, deceased, (Jan); Shirley (Robert), Ed (Kris), and Dian (Larry).

After Ross's passing in 1994, Bertha lived in West Jordan until her passing. Bertha leaves a legacy of fifteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Bertha was an excellent seamstress, hostess, cook, and candy maker. Her love and creativity made memories that will last forever. She will be greatly missed and sweetly remembered by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the River Oaks Third Ward Chapel, 8825 South 1095 West, West Jordan. A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive (1450 East), East Millcreek, and prior to the services at the church on Monday at 10:00 a.m.
Following the services, Bertha will be interred in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
