BEIERLE--Funeral services for Vern Beierle planned Friday
Funeral services for Vern Beierle, 65, of 126 E. Parkway, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Bonaventure church. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure cemetery.
The body is to lie in state after 1 p.m. Thursday at McKown Funeral Home, where rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
He was born June 12, 1902, at David City, the son of Mike and Mrs. Carrie Bock Beierle, and attended school in David City and Columbus.
Mr. Beierle was married to Agnes Happ April 24, 1937, at St. Bonaventure church, and they had since resided here. He was a building contractor.
A Catholic, Mr. Beierle was a member of the Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his wife; mother, Mrs. Carrie Drawbridge of North Loup, daughter, Mrs. Bert (Dorothy) Jurgens of Cedar Bluffs; son, Robert, of Houston, Tex.; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Alfred Beierle of Richland, Mrs. William (Clara) Sprunk and Jess Beierle of Columbus, Clarence of Dix, Chester of Omaha, Floyd of Long Beach, Callif. [sic], and Howard of Riverside, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Ruby.
