Funeral service is pending with Sorrells-Peters Funeral Home.

Mabel E. Crews of 100 S. Fulton, Dallas, died Saturday at 5 p.m. at her residence.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at Sorrells-Peters Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Mansen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

She was born March 5, 1900 in Lone Oak to Andrews J. and Addie VanLandingham Nesbitt. She was married to Homer S. Crews June 29, 1926 in Lone Oak. Mrs. Crews was a former school teacher in Dallas and Oklahoma and a member of Central Christian Church. She participated in all church activities and was teacher of the Fidelis Sunday School Class from 1968 until 1980.

She is survived by brothers, Charlie A. Nesbitt of Greenville and Clarence E. Nesbitt of Arlington; and a niece, Mrs. W.C. Adams of Arlington.

Her husband preceded her in death Dec. 15, 1948.

Pallbearers will be Wiford Roddam, Joe Phillips, J.B. Briscoe, Raymond Stevens, John Harvey and Audra Lamm.

Sorrell-Peters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
