Mr. Dennis Coy Allen, age 75 passed away at his home, Monday, November 14, 2016. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016, 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home.

Mr. Dennis served his country in the Tennessee Army National Guard for 37 years, 3 months and 12 days, retired after 30 + years from ANR pipeline formerly Michigan-Wisconsin Pipeline. After retirement he started Allen's Lawncare which he operated for many years.

He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and passionate about working in his garden, but his greatest love was his family.

He was preceded in death by his first wife: Dorothy Hendren Allen, his parents: Finis and Ada Blanton Allen, three brothers: Jessie Allen, Calvin Allen, Danny Ray Allen, four sisters: Sue Cathey, Macie Allen, Margie Cathey, Loretta McLillie and a grandson: William Allen.

He is survived by his wife: Jane B. Allen, Brownsville, TN, one son: Jeffrey B. Allen, Frisco, TX, one daughter: Tracy Allen Adams (Gregg), Jackson, TN, one step-son: Jeff Cupples (Jennifer), Henderson, TN, one step-daughter: Brigette Lacy (Marty), Decaturville, TN, one brother: Larry Allen, Bells, TN, three sisters: Sandra Horton, Memphis, TN, Brenda Warren, Brownsville, TN and Jean Maness, Mayfield, KY, nine grandchildren: Emily Allen, Matthew Allen, Kylie Adams, Drake Adams, Matthew Lacy, Brittney Lacy, Brandy Lacy, Jaxon Cupples and Jacie Cupples. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Poplar Corner Baptist Church, 1010 Boyd Ave., Brownsville, TN 38012 or the American Cancer.
