We regret exceedingly to learn of the death on Sunday night of Mrs. A. D. Beady, wife of one of the most thrifty and energetic farmers of this section, living a few miles above Gonzales.
Obit-Gonzales Inquirer Oct. 23, 1880
Sad and desolate is the home of Mr. A. D. Beady, and the heart of himself and children, for the light of the household has been extinguished. The wife and mother died at 3 o'clock, a.m., on the eleventh of October, at the advanced age of 50 years and 5 months. She was a native of Canada. We understand not the dispensation of Providence which bows down a loving husband's heart and makes young lives with woe, but we can and do sympathize with them in their great distress. But one son and one daughter could accompany the remains of the idolized mother to their last earthly resting place, the remainder of the family being stricken with disease.
