Pinkey Idell Barnhill Williams, widow of Mendel Edsel Williams, Sr., died November 14, 2016.
Born on November 30, 1923 in Allsbrook, SC, she was a daughter of the late Gaston McIver and Francis Elizabeth Barnhill.
A lifelong Baptist, she was a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church.
Her professional life was as a bookkeeper, and she retired from The Baptist Courier following 19 years of service.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Lavetta and Donny Ulman of Coconut Grove, FL; a son, Ronnie Williams of Greenville; grandchildren, Mendi Leigh and Lisa Sykes of Tucson, AZ, Jami Foertsch (Mark) of Taylors, and Eric Williams of Piedmont; and great grandchildren, Lexi and Cameron Williams of Piedmont and Cory and Zachary Pyatt of Oklahoma City, OK
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, M. Edsel Williams, Jr.; sisters, Mary Sellers, Blanche Little, Lucy Barnhill, Missouri Bullard, Ellea Barnhill, Eva Johnson, and Ruth Mercer; and brothers, John, Daniel, Ellis, and Leo Barnhill.
Burial: Woodlawn Memorial Park.
