Elizabeth M. Frays age 87 of Three Rivers, Michigan and a former longtime Sturgis resident passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 15, 2015 at the Riverview Nursing Home in Three Rivers.
She was born May 7, 1927 daughter of the late Orrie and Lulu (Benton) Bowdish.
Mrs. Frays lived most of her life in Sturgis. On April 24, 1945 she married Lloyd Frays. He died June 26, 1985.
Elizabeth had been employed at the Kirsch Company in Sturgis until the birth of her children when she became a dedicated stay at home mom and home maker. She attended the Sturgis Bible Chapel.
Mrs. Frays enjoyed going out to eat with her daughter Lynette, traveling, gardening and attending church.
She is survived by one granddaughter: (name omitted) and four great grandchildren: (names omitted).
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two daughters: Sherry Marie Frays and Lynette Sue Frays and brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. – 1:45 P.M. Wednesday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331. Funeral services celebrating the life of Elizabeth M. Frays will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Larry Wallman will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
