A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, November 17 at First United Methodist Church, by the Revs. Jamie Armstrong and Doug Rowe. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mr. Darr was born June 11, 1932 in Davidson County to Lewis Vernon Darr and Viola Walser Darr. He retired from Lexington Telephone Company and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army and a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Scottish Rite. His son, Andrew Vernon “Andy’ Darr, Jr.; and his sister, Martha Beane, preceded him in death.
