Beverly passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Bay Shores Nursing Center, age 83. She was born June 19, 1933 in Midland, Michigan to the late Miles and Ellen M. (Feaster) Burch. Beverly married Melvin “Butch” Bladecki on August 1, 1953 and he predeceased her in 2007. She was a former member of the Church of the Nazarene in Midland and the ARC of Bay County. Beverly enjoyed working with stained glass and tole painting. She played baseball in her younger years for Main Abstract and Title in Midland and carried a .500 batting average while playing. Beverly was also a terrific swimmer and applied that talent by swimming from Mackinaw City to Mackinaw Island.

Surviving are two daughters, Denise Bladecki and Cindy (Jeff) Bonem, son in-law, Tim Nykamp, four grandchildren: Miles (Bethany) Nykamp, Jennifer Nykamp, Wesley (Janelle) Bonem and Krystle (Michael) Bauer, nine great grandchildren: Faith, Charlotte and Rebecca Nykamp, Lila, Aria, Cora and Mason Bauer, Lily and William Bonem, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Beverly was predeceased by two daughters, Melody A. Nykamp in 2015 and Sherry Pringle in 2009, her son Patrick L. Bladecki in 1985 and her brother Lyle (Patricia) Burch.

A Celebration of Beverly’s life will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Squires Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Private inurnment will be held at a later date at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society.
