DAVIS CEMETERY, HOWARD COUNTY, ARKANSAS Davis Cemetery is located four to five miles south of Umpire in the north end of Howard County, Arkansas near the west bank of the Saline River near the old Rough Edge community. It is situated on approximately two acres of land which was owned by Clement Sherrill Davis (his is the oldest marked grave in the cemetery), who obtained the original land patent. In 1916 the land was officially deeded by F. B. H. Davis(son of Clement) and his wife Lualice Delona(Lonia) Miller Davis to the Methodist Protestant Church.
