On November 11, Wayne Bawcum joined the love of his life and wife of 67 years, Jo Bawcum, in eternity. Wayne was born in Camden, Tennessee on December 26, 1927. He obtained his degree in agricultural engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and was a life-long Volunteer fan. He had a rewarding career with International Harvester as a test engineer. Wayne enjoyed camping with Jo in their RV named Charlie, collecting antiques, fishing, reading and playing bridge. He will be remembered for his generosity, caring, and commitment to family. Wayne is survived by his daughter Connie Bawcum (Richard Wills), son Cary Bawcum (Daphne), five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 16, from10:30-11.30, immediately followed by the funeral service at the Fireside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
