Mrs. Ella Lewis Cruse, wife of D. C. Cruse, Hodgenville Businessman, died Wednesday afternoon at the Kentucky Baptist Hospital in Louisville following an extended illness. She was seventy-six years of age. She was a member of Hodgenville First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Lincoln Memorial Post American Legion Auxiliary and was vice-president of the Farmers Supply & Seed Company, Inc., here. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harry (Lucille) Bowling, of this city; five grandchildren, Mrs. R. M. (Laura Ann) Bowles, Edgewater, Fra.; Bob Bowling, Bowling Green, Ky.; John Bowling, student at University of Kentucky, Lexington; Mary Lou Bowling and Steve Bowling, at home; two great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Seymour, of Louisville, and Mrs. Jesse L. Gardner, of this city. Funeral services were held Saturday in the Chapel at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in this city with the Rev. Kenneth Hays officiating. Interment was in Red Hill Cemetery here.
