Edward K. Ardelian

ADAMSVILLE: Edward K. Ardelian, 75, of Adamsville, Ohio died Monday morning, November 7, 2016 in the emergency of Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.

Born October 21, 1941 in Akron, Ohio he was a son of the late John and Rose (Putzel) Ardelian. Ed was a graduate of Akron University receiving his Bachelor's degree in education. For several years he was a teacher and, and later, Principal at Nashport Elementary School. He also taught at Dresden Elementary School. In 1970 he left teaching to attend the State of Ohio Highway Patrol Academy, from which he graduated. He served with the State Highway Patrol for seven years, retiring in 1978. Ed loved listening to music and he enjoyed fishing and collecting antiques, but his greatest enjoyment was his children and grandchildren.

Surviving is his loving wife 47 years, Virginia E. (Lane) Ardelian whom he married July 12, 1969; a son and daughter in-law, Alan and Stephanie Ardelian of Nashport; a daughter and son in-law, Amy and Chad Ross of Nashport; six grandchildren, Austin, Lexie and Skylar Ardelian, Alivia, Kinley and Kendall Ross; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Ardelian and a sister, Carole Ardelian.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Adamsville United Methodist Church, 8065 East Street.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Adamsville United Methodist Church with Pastor Pam Lashley officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Adamsville.
