OBITUARY

Died of consumption, June 24th, 1891, Miss Jennie Baker, near Macon, Mo. Miss Jennie was a consistent member of the Church of Christ, and was converted under the preaching of the lamented Elder, J. W. Wright, in August 1877. She was born in Macon County May 5th, 1861, and was the daughter of Isaac Baker (deceased). The funeral exercises were conducted by Elder J. P. Penton at the place of interment, known as the Gaunt Cemetery. Her last words were that she was not afraid of death, for from youth she had been a devout sister in Christ. The only regret was to have to depart with a widowed mother and many other kind relatives and friends.
