Born in Altay, Schuyler County, Mr. Ackley had lived in this section for 25 years.
Surviving are his widow; Mrs. Ada Mackelden Ackley; two sons, William Ackley of Seneca Falls and Sgt. Arthur Ackley, U. S. Army, now stationed in Georgia; a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Bridges of Marlett, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Helen Fowler of Ithaca; a brother, Chares Ackley of Elmira and three grand children.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, McDuffie Town.
