Mrs. Minnie B. McGehee McCord, died Thursday, December 20, 2007. She was born April 19, 1913 in Marshalton, Miss. She lived much of her life in Jackson, and Metairie, La. and in recent years in Diamondhead, Miss.
Mrs. McCord, "Nannie" was preceded in death by her parents, Emma Carrie Bates McGehee and Joseph Crawford McGehee; her husband of 65 years, Bill L. McCord; her daughter, Billie McCord Blakeney Lofthouse; her four brothers, Gaines A. McGehee, Leslie C. MeGehee, Dr. Joseph C. McGehee, and Russell H. McGehee.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay McCord Magee (Vessen "Butch") of Diamondhead; five grandchildren, Karen Blakeney Herring (Gene), Cheryl Blakeney Ashley, Kathie Magee Ladner (Scott), Belinda Blakeney Fischer (Craig), David Magee (Melanie); and son-in-law, Bill Lofthouse. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
