My source on Lola was familysearch.com the Latter Day Saints website which listed Lola as being the daughter of George Washington and Virginia Collins Stewart and buried in this cemetery; however, the following was sent to me questioning her parentage....since all I have to go on was the info given by familysearch.com I am including the email recieved from MM (full name omited to protect privacy) I recieved questioning my data... I have taken GW and Virginia Collins Stewart off this bio as the parents of this Lola Stewart. Their daughter whose married name is Wilson/Wlllson is buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery. MM has a copy of her death cert giving the place of burial and her parents as GW and Virginia and so therefore this is not their daughter...

Hi,

I have been tracking down the family of George Washington Stewart and Virginia Allie Collins. They are my wife's ancestors. I am almost certain that the Lola Stewart buried at Mt Pisgah is not their daughter.

Their daughter Lola V. Stewart Willson is buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery, near Chester. Their Lola was married to Samuel Houston Willson, Jr. in 1897 and she died January 7, 1970. She was born December 26, 1877, along sisters Lula and Lela. Her headstone dates 1877-1970 match what I have found.

Her headstone indicates her middle initial was V., but the findagrave entry for her incorrectly lists her initial as W.

I believe the Lola Stewart buried at Mt. Pisgah is most likely Lola S. Stewart, daughter of Benjamin F. Stewart, Sr. and Caldonia Best Stewart, 1878-1961.
