Wilma R. Kyger, 98 of Danville, left us peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Gardenview Manor in Danville.

Wilma was born on Nov. 17, 1917 on the family farm, that dated back to the late 1800s to Arthur and Julia (Campbell) Harrison. Wilma married Earl Frank Kyger on Nov. 28, 1940, in Rockville, Indiana. Wilma shared over 62 years with her beloved Frank before his passing in 2002.

She leaves behind her children, Max (Linda) Kyger, George (Anna) Kyger and Rebecca (Gary) Duryea; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Wilber.

She attended Lamb School through the eighth grade. She enjoyed working the farm with her husband, carrying on the family tradition. Wilma could often be found working in her garden, quilting, and baking, canning, and cooking in the kitchen. She was a fantastic cook, well known for her infamous noodles, and she made everything from scratch, most of it coming from the family farm. Her family, especially her grandchildren, and her church were also very important to her.
