Memorial service for Alice K. Andrist, 50, is set for 11 a.m. today at Chewalah United Church of Christ. Danekas Funeral Home in Colville is in charge of arrangements.

Alice Andrist was born March 3, 1946, Chewelah, Stevens County, Washington to Dr. Charles George Andrist, DVM and Kathryn L. Lind Andrist, she had three siblings.

Alice graduated from Chewelah High School and worked as a registered nurse at Holy Family Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital in Chewelah and Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Chewelah and the United Church of Christ.

Alice died on August 4, 1996. survivors include two sons, Duane Miller of Addy, Washington and Craig Allison of Spokane; a foster son, Dan Zupan of Chewelah; her mother, Kathryn Andrist of Chewelah, a brother Alan Andrist of Seattle; and two sisters, Mary Remitz of Phoenix, Arizona and Margaret Kineman of Seattle, Washington.
