Irving T. Anderson was born May 6, 1903 on a farm near Lyle (Nevada Township), son of Ole I. and Minnie (Enerson) Anderson.
He was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed in Norwegian June 2, 1918 at Six Mile Grove Lutheran Church near Lyle.
On November 9, 1924 he was united in marriage to Alice Ransom. For the first five years of their married life they lived on a farm near Rose Creek and then moved to his present farm home near Adams in 1929.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his children Avis, (Mrs. Eugene Trib) of Bell, California; Orrie, and Norma, (Mrs. Walter Underdahl) of Adams, his mother, Mrs. Minnie Anderson of Austin, two brothers, Vernon and Carl of Austin, and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice in 1950, son Clinton, father Ole, one sister, Alpha, one great grandchild, Dennis Godfrey.
He drove the school bus for the Elkton School for many years, and served as a member of the Marshall town board for 20 years. He was a long-time member of the Little Cedar Lutheran Church.
He passed away unexpectedly at his home (Marshall Township), November 20th, of a heart attack.
Funeral services were held at Little Cedar Lutheran Church at Adams Saturday, Nov. 23 at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Wayne Quibell officiating. Interment was at the Little Cedar Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lloyd Uglum, Merle Hatle, Anton Wellik, Harlan Rogne, Art Peterson, William Wigham. The organist was Mrs. Donald Larson, singers, Mrs. Lelenn Osmundson and Mrs. Herb Osmundson.
He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
