Marilyn Faye (Miller) Roadruck was welcomed into the arms of Jesus early Tuesday morning, December 20, 2011. She would have been 82 years old on New Year's Day, so you can be sure that they are planning a big birthday party for her in Heaven!
The youngest daughter of the late George E. and Twyla H. (McGill) Miller, Marilyn was a 1948 graduate of Conesville High School where she was valedictorian, homecoming queen, first chair clarinet, and a strong supporter of their annual alumni banquet. After raising three children, Marilyn served as Librarian for the Coshocton City Schools at South Lawn, Sycamore and Chestnut Elementary schools as well as the Middle School. Marilyn and her husband, the late Benjamin Evans Roadruck, Jr. were long-time members of Grace United Methodist Church of Coshocton where she applied her skills as church librarian for many years.
She is survived by her three children, Debra (Jerry) Hammond of Eaton, Ohio, Gary (Nancy) Roadruck of Akron, Ohio, and Joel (Pam) Roadruck of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren, Andrew (Ana) Lacy, Joy (Trevor) King, Benjamin (Stephanie) Roadruck, and Ross (Melissa Cook) Roadruck; four great grandchildren, Ryland Foster King, Vivian Lacy King, Grace Angela Lacy and Ryan Robert Roadruck; one sister, Hortense Rowe of Muscatine, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents; Marilyn is preceded in death by her brother, LeRoy Miller.
Calling hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Given-Dawson Funeral Home in Coshocton, Ohio with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m., Reverend Craig Redecker officiating, and a graveside service immediately following at South Lawn Cemetery.
