BURL JOHNSON, 8 YEARS OLD, DEAD

Funeral at E. L. Johnson home, 1019 N. Steuben, AT 1:30 pm

Burl Johnson died at the home of his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Ellis Johnson, 1019 N. Steuben, this morning shortly after midnight after a short illness of pneumonia. The funeral services will be held at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Johnson at 1:30 tomorrow afternoon.
Burl was 8 years old last month having been born in Erie December 4, 1913, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Orva Johnson. His mother died during the influenza epidemic 2 years ago and since then Burl had made his home with his grandparents here. He seemed to be getting along quite well until last evening when his condition suddenly took a change for the worse. His father, who was in Pittsburg, was notified and motored here at once, but the attack terminated fatally one hour before he arrived.
The body will be taken to Erie for burial beside his mother.
