P. D. Draper, aged 94 years, a Confederate Veteran, died Sunday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lovelace, who lives on Smith River about two miles south of Martinsville.
The funeral services will be from Reed Creek Church today as the deceased was born and reared in the Reed Creek neighborhood and was an honored citizen of that community.
