Hannah C Howell was born in Virginia, October 30, 1833 and died in Sullivan County, Missouri, March 26, 1899. She was 65 years 4 months and 26 days old. She was married to J J Howell in Wood County, Virginia December 16, 1856. She was the mother of twelve childre, ten girls and two boys. Seven children await her in the eternal home. Three daughters and one son mourned beside the death bed of the mother. One daughter awaited sadd news in West Virginia. Five years ago she and her husband came to make their home in Missouri.
In 1868 Sister Howell united with the Metodist Episcopal Church South and remained a fairtful and true christian. During her later days she lived in daily expectation of the end and grave indubitable and indisputable evidence of the certainty and brightness of her faith and hope. She died well.
