Edwin Dale Powers, 60, husband of Patricia Mitchell Powers and a resident of Quinby, VA, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. A native of Quinby, he was the son of the late William E. Powers and the late Pauline Bell Powers. He was a waterman.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three sons, Thomas Powers and his wife, Diane, of Jamesville, VA, Chris Lilliston of Onley, VA, E.J. Powers, and his wife,Heather, of Painter, VA; a sister, Patty Williams and her husband, Sam, of Concord Wharf, VA and two grandchildren, Jackson and Keagan Powers.

A celebration of life service will be conducted Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Smith’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Curtis P. Lucy officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Smith’s Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Gwen Blake, 5046 Seaside Road, Exmore, VA 23350.
