Madison L. Wolfe, 65, retired printer, died at 5 a.m. Sunday at his home, 4020 Caddo Street. He had been ill for several months.

His death closed a life time of service as a printer in the offices of The Herald and The Banner and throughout northeast Texas.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Central Christian Church. Dr. James L. Sandlin and the Rev. C. B. Fielder officiated. Burial was in Forest Park cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kermit Bunch, Dr. F. L. Young, J. B. Brisoe, Phil Pennington, Kelley Graham and John Morgan.

Honorary pallbearers were elders of Central Christian Church, member of the Men's Bible Class and J.H. Fowler and C. M. Butcher of Greenville.

Arrangements were in charge of James-Coker-Peters Funeral Home.

Born Jan. 5, 1891, in the Concord Community, Mr. Wolfe was the son of Haynes Wolfe and Mary Wolfe. He was married to Floy Little in 1913 and she preceded him in death in 1949. In 1950 he was married to Mrs. Virginia Miller who survives.

Mr. Wolfe was a member of Central Christian Church and as long as his health permitted was an active worker in the programs and in the Men's class.

Surviving are the following children, Madison Wolfe Jr., Huntsville; Harold Wolfe, San Diego, Calif.; Hubert Wolfe, Dallas; Mrs. Robert Ethridge, Campbell; Mrs. Virgil Scarborough, Dallas; Mrs. W. D. Edwards, Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Wayne Carter, Dallas; one step-son, Horace Miller, Dallas; one sister, Mrs. Orr Little, Greenville, and 11 grandchildren.
