Jo-An Boatright, 66, passed away on November 1, 2016 at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.

A resident of Jesup for most of her life, Jo-An was born on July 19, 1950 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Garland and Katherine Kegley Sherrod. She loved children and devoted her life to caring for children in her daycare center which was very successful. She was a member of Jesup Church of God for many years and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Her family was the love of her life and she especially liked attending cheer competitions and beauty pageants with her granddaughters. In addition to her parents, her husband, Don Boatright and her sister, Kay Keith, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Tonya Boatright of Jesup; daughter and son-in-law, Patti Kay and Terry Phillips of Jacksonville, Florida; two granddaughters, Kathryn Phillips of Jacksonville and McKenzie Boatright of Jesup; and sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Nubbin Keith of Jesup. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Jesup Church of God with Reverend Clayton Dowd officiating.

Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenny, Kaden, Josh, David Earl, Dell and Kevin Keith.
