Ronald Flois Murphy, 69, of Cordova, formerly of Dyersburg, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.

He was a retired dispatch supervisor for UPS. Ronald was a member of Fisherville Baptist Church in Eads, TN and was also an avid fisherman.

He was a United States Army Veteran, where he served his county from 1964-1967.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Moore officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The Murphy Family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his two daughters, Sabrina Murphy of Cordova and Rhonda White and husband, John, of Arlington; three sisters, Janet Greer and husband, Jack, of Dyersburg, Carole Tweedy and husband, Jerry, of Dyersburg and Glenda Whaley and husband, James of Collierville; a brother, Tommy Barrineau of Thomasville, GA; a half-brother, Bobby Lindsey of Huntingdon, WV; and a grandchild, Silar Shook of Cordova.

Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Murphy; his parents, Flois and Geraldine Moore Murphy; and two half-brothers, Ricky Wolfe and Michael Lindsey.

Pallbearers will be John White, Joseph Shook, Tommy Barrineau, J.J. Glover, Todd Tweedy, Greg Dunn and Murphy Fair.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jmichael Glover, Hunter Glover, Jonluke Brubaker and Conner "Copperhead" McCollum.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
