Albert "Al" J. Mechlin, 86, passed away peacefully at home, December 18, 2010. Al, a WWII marine, worked for many years with the Sears company. He was predeceased by his wife, Mattie Bowman Mechlin; parents, Dr. Floyd and Zella Mechlin; and a daughter, Peggy Kans.
Al is survived by three daughters, Linda Zimmer (Jurgen), Maureen Carnucci (Tony) and Cathy Mechlin; six grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2010, at the Myrtle Beach Funeral Home with funeral services 12 noon Tuesday, December 21, 2010, officiated by the Rev. Cathy Mechlin. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
