PIONEER RESIDENT DIES.

William S. Nichol Is Victim of Complication of Diseases – Formerly in Business.

William S. Nichol, a pioneer resident of Winnebago county passed away at his home, 28 Wright street, Tuesday noon after an illness of many months. He had been confined to his home since Christmas with a complication of diseases.

He was born September 7, 1851, in the town of Utica. He was a well known candy maker and for many years conducted a candy kitchen and ice cream parlor at Omro. Two years ago he and his family removed to Oshkosh.

He leaves besides his widow, two sons, Clayton and Harry Nichol, both of Oshkosh; two daughters, Mrs. Julius Bodah of Shiocton, and Miss Hazel Nichol of Oshkosh; one sister, Mrs. M.S. Norse (sic) of Omro; and one brother, Ellis, of Oshkosh. There are also seventeen grand children and five great grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the home and at 2:30 from the Omro Methodist church. Rev. G.K. MacInnes of the First Methodist Episcopal church of this city, will have charge of the services. Interment will be at Omro cemetery
