Interment will follow at Fishing Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Wilkes County.
Mr. Butler, son of the late George Shelton and Annie Lou Smith Butler, was born in the Floral Hill Community of Wilkes County.
He had served in the US Army in the mid 1950’s. A few years after returning from the military, he then spent 2 years in trade school and received refrigeration certification. He was employed by Sig Cox for 37 years in service and sales and was a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church.
