He was born in Pillow on January 6, 1917, to the late Henry and Mabel Bertha (Hoffman) Lahr.
Lewis enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and gardening.
He is survived by his daughter, Louetta Romberger of Millersburg; a brother, Nevin Lahr of Halifax; a granddaughter, Lisa Romberger of Halifax; a grandson, Jesse Romberger of Millersburg, and a great-grandson, Ethan Snyder.
Graveside services with military honors, will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday, August 30th at 10 a.m.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Susquehanna Lutheran Village, 990 Medical Road, Millersburg, PA 17061.
