He was a native of Garnettsville, Meade County, Kentucky and a retired maintenance supervisor for Aerospace Corp.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nora Lee Wardrip Allen in 1929
He is survived by three daughters, Berdena Watkins, Shirley Hale and Marie Wilson; two sons, Gary Allen and James Matthews; three sisters, Helen Bradley, Martha Carpenter and Genevieve Goepper; three brothers, Luther Allen, Olen Allen and Bill Allen; a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Buck Grove Baptist Cemetery
