OSCAR LEE ALEXANDER, JR., age 73, a resident of Decatur, formerly of Garland and Irving, died suddenly Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Wise Regional Medical Center in Decatur.

Born September 6, 1940 in Grayson County, Texas, he was the son of Oscar Lee Alexander, Sr. and Bonnie Hill Alexander. He was a sheet metal technician for Regal Research for over twenty years before his retirement. He married Joyce Lynn Kimberlin August 23, 1958 in Irving, Texas. They moved to Decatur in 2006. He was a member of the Assembly of God church.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; son, Rodney and daughter, Lori, all of Decatur; granddaughter, Amanda Warren and husband Steven of Saginaw; grandson, Kyle Alexander and wife Marci of Rowlett; and sister, Patti Spielmarker of Bastrop, Texas.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be 12 noon on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
