Evelyn Brown Martin, 86, of Nokesville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at the Novant Health U.Va. Haymarket Medical Center in Haymarket.

She was born April 27, 1930, in Danville, to the late Junius and Francis Grissom Brown.

She was married to the late Dudley J. Martin Jr. for more than 27 years.

Mrs. Martin was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a homemaker until later in life, when she ran her own arts and craft business, E&B Crafts. She also was a very dedicated member of the Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manassas, having served in many different capacities within the church.

Survivors include her six children, Jacklyn M. Colas and husband Greg, Dudley J. “DJ” Martin III and wife Chris, Michael C. Martin and wife Patty, Patrick T. Martin and wife Kathy, John D. Martin and wife Carole and Joseph L. Martin and wife Kathy; 17 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8712 Plantation Lane, Manassas. Rev. Jeffrey Wilson will conduct the funeral at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at the church. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens near Manassas.
