ELEANOR J. "GRANDMA MAC" McEWEN, 89, died Wednesday at Jay County Hospital. Born in Knox Township, she owned the Northside Restaurant, Pennville, from 1953 to 1977.
Surviving are two sons, Victor D. and James D., both of Pennville; two daughters, Lois Joanne Stewart of Indianapolis and Marilyn Jane Bourne of Pennville; a brother, Denzel Current of Dunkirk; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a step-grandchild and two step-great-grandchildren.
Services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pennville United Methodist Church. Calling from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Pennville chapel of Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home. Burial in I.O.O.F. (Twin Hills) Cemetery, east of Pennville.
