John Lowry, Arthur, Dies in Hospital Here
John Lowry, 85, of Arthur, formerly of Chesterville, died at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Decatur and Macon County hospital. Shock of a recent operation, combined with his old age, is believed to have caused his death.
Mr. Lowry had been in the hospital two weeks. He moved from Chesterville to Arthur only a few weeks ago. He leaves his wife and a daughter, Mrs. Claude Ginder, in Arthur, with whom he made his home. He also leaves a son in the southern part of the state. The body was taken to the Fleming funeral home in Arthur. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Arthur.
