Interment was made in the Blue Mound Cemetery under the direction of Boxwell Bros. Funeral Home. Pall bearers were F. L. BELL, Rex CLARK, Sam BALLARD, Jim SIMS, Arthur GRAY and W. B. MAYS. Song selctions were given by a male quartet composed of Irvin R. Buchanan, Robert Lawrence, Virgil Castle, and A. K. Wooten with Mrs. Robert Lawrence at the piano.
Alice Ida COX was married to Jerry Craven ISLEY on February 18, 1891. Thirteen children were born to this union, two died in infancy and Mrs. Pearl JULIUSSON passed away in 1932.
Mr. and Mrs. ISLEY came to Beaver County in 1905 and settled on a homestead, where they lived until his death in 1937. Since that time she has made her home in Shattuck with her youngest daughter, Mrs. Ross VENABLE.
Mrs. ISLEY was a member of the Baptist Church, a devoted wife and mother and a neighbor of the true pioneer type. She will be greatly missed by her friends and loved ones.
Survivors are ten children, Mrs. Ross VENABLE, Shattuck, Mrs. Bertron MULLIN, Rayville, Mo., Mrs. W. R. CRAWFORD, Two Buttes, Colo., Mrs. M. L. CLARK, Perryton, Clarence ISLEY, Fort Worth, Jewel ISLEY, Tacoma, Wash., Cecil ISLEY, Project City, Calif., Lorrain ISLEY, Elk City, Okla., Everette ISLEY, Cottage Grove, Oregon and Lewis, serving with the armed forces in Australia; one brother,, Henry COX, New Mexico; one sister, Mrs. C. C. STONE, Rayville, Mo.; 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
