Funeral services for Mrs. May Quayle Painter, 44, prominent Logan church and civic worker, who died Wednesday morning after a three weeks illness, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Logan First ward chapel by Bishop Henry R. Cooper.

A lifelong resident of Logan, she was born here May 7, 1900, a daughter of James and Betty Larson Quayle. She was educated in Logan public schools, the old Brigham Young college and Utah State Agricultural college.

Active throughout her life in church work, she had been president for the past three years of the Logan First ward Relief Society; had served in the presidency of the YWMIA, was a Sunday school and primary association worker.

Mrs. Painter was a member of the Logan stake Relief Society board and was past president of the Ballard Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She had been an officiator in the Logan temple for ten years.

She was married to Joseph T. Painter, August 28, 1918, in the Salt Lake temple.

Survivors include her mother, Logan; her husband, and five of her six sons and daughters: J. Quayle Painter, Los Angeles, Cal.; Betty Mae, Norrinne, Loye Lucile, and Marilyn Painter, Logan, and two brothers, Joseph L. Quayle, Logan, and William Quayle, Laramie, Wyo.

Friends may call at the family home, 54 North Third West street this evening and Saturday until time of services. Burial in the family plot of the Logan cemetery will be under direction of the W. Loyal Hall Mortuary.
