Mary Grace Spencer (b.1616/1618 d.c1660) was the daughter of Sir William Spencer (1592-1636) and Lady Penelope Wriothesley (1598-1667) of Northamptonshire, England. She was baptised on the 10 Feb 1621 in Brington, Northamptonshire, England to William & Penelope Spencer. How she came to Virginia Colony is unknown. She married Thomas Cardwell Sr. (1614-1687) in King William Co., Virginia in 1636. It is not known if there were any children from this marriage, but there was a child, Thomas Cardwell Jr. (1660-1717) born around the time of Mary Grace's death. Some show him as her child and others show him as the first son of Thomas Cardwell Sr. with his second wife. (You may choose) Mary Grace died around 1660 or before. (She is also known by some as Grace Carey Spencer which I have found no proof). Thomas Cardwell Sr. had a second wife by the name of Mary Elizabeth (Carey) Coyller (1615-1698) and her Mother's Maiden Name was Carey.
