Alfred was born on July 11, 1925 to Claude and Cecilia Baldes in Riverton, Wyoming.
Alfred worked as a Tie Hack (CC Camp) in Dubois and then went on to serve his country proudly in WWII achieving the rank of Army Staff Sargent; he returned home and retired as a carpenter and raised an honorable family of 5 children.
He loved is dog Tiny, she was his #1 girl. He enjoyed watching old cowboy flicks and chit chatting with his Great-Grandson Maximus.
Survivors include his children, Henry Leroy Baldes (Diane), Florence Martinez (Joe), Shirley A. Hassel (Mitch) Kim C. Lambert (Mark), Shannon Baldes (Stephanie); brother, Cecil Z. Baldes; sisters, Clarenda Lavery and Rose Baldes; 16 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; extended family, Richard Baldes (Carol) and family, Alfreda Mills and Family, Verginia Wagner and Family, Michael Shockley (Erica) and family, David Hines (Roxanne) and family, Ed McAuslan and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Cecilia Baldes; brothers, Cecil C. Baldes (Nita), Norman Baldes (Juanita), Melvin Baldes (Mangie); sisters, Avelina (Zeak Cortez).
