Mrs. Causby was born on May 8, 1936, in Burke County to the late John Anthony and Ruth Brittain Anthony. She was a member of Rising Church and was well known for her crafts.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Patrick Causby; and stepson, Michael Alan Causby.
Nanny is survived by two sons, Brian Causby of Burlington, and Charles Patrick Causby and wife June of Drexel; one daughter Angela Causby Tinervia and husband Mario of Burlington; stepdaughter, Denise Causby Kincaid of Lenoir; two brothers, Donald Anthony of Drexel, and George Anthony and wife Shirley of Valdese; 14 grandchildren, Bruce, Robert, Trisha, Tiffany, Jessica, James, Ronnie, Felisha, Dylan, Autumn, Abby, Elizabeth, Kathleen and Rebecca; twenty great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11:00am in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese, with Rev. Barry Camp officiating.
Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 am at Heritage Funeral Service.
