A SAD DROWNING
The Little Son of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Algeo
Loses His Life by Drowning.
Eddie, the little six-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Algeo, was drowned in the river near the Vernon Mills Saturday afternoon.
The little fellow, with two playmates of about the same age, the sons of J. Silva and Mr. Myers, went down to the river near the mill to play in a boat. Sometime afterward, about 5 o'clock, the Silva and Myer boys returned and said that Eddie Algeo had fallen out of the boat into the river.
Search was immediately made by relatives and friends for the body, but the lifeless remains were not found until about 8:10 o'clock. The body had been in the water 8 hours.
The blow is a sad one to the afflicted family and they have the sympathy of many friends.
The funeral will take place from the home of the family on First street, at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon.
